The highlight of the season was beating TCIS & SAHS in the same week, both in three sets.
The team saw a high number of injuries & three girls missed a significant part of the season. Hyerin was out part of the year with a sprained wrist as well as JeeHyun & Essie with back problems. This gave Suyoung Yang (freshman) & Sally Song (sophomore) the opportunity to improve & contribute.
The team was well-balanced and ran an invented 6-3 rotation with Joelle Kim & Sarah Kim setting for the first time. Their defense along with Sarah Waldrop & Jessi Son was one of the best in KAIAC, which is what an SFS coach commented. The Lady Guardians had a disappointing loss in the KAIAC tournament to TCIS but beat SIS and DAHS to finish third. At Far East they were missing a couple key players and finished fourth with Morrison earning first.
