Welcome to the official home of Guardian Athletics!  The mission of YISS Athletics is to develop in the lives of student-athletes character of integrity, to instill in them a passion for excellence in all facets of life, and to uniquely reinforce the educational mission of YISS through the experiences undergone in the athletic arena.  We accomplish this mission by not only developing excellent sports programs, but also by providing service and educational opportunities through the medium of sports.

Yongsan International School of Seoul has a rich history that includes great successes in athletics.  Sports that we offer include volleyball, tennis, and cross country (fall), basketball and cheerleading (winter), and swimming, track and field, and soccer (spring).  In 2000, YISS (formerly ICS-S) joined the Korean American Interscholastic Activities Conference (KAIAC).  From 2000-2012, YISS also competed in the Department of Defense schools Far East Tournaments.  In 2012, YISS aided in the formation of the Asia Christian Schools Conference (ACSC), which includes 7 schools from all over Asia.  Our tradition includes KAIAC championships in boys (00, 03, 04, 12) and girls (04, 05, 14, 15, 17) volleyball, boys (06) and girls (06) basketball, cheerleading (08), girls swimming (18), and boys (01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 10, 12, 18) and girls soccer (14), Far East championships in boys (12, 13) and girls (13, 14) tennis, boys basketball (07) and boys soccer (06, 08, 09, 11), and ACSC championships in boys soccer (14) and boys volleyball (16, 17).

The Digital Media class was formed in 2010 and is a group of students who created the yisspn.com, kaiac.org, and acsconference.com websites while regularly maintaining the sites using their media and design skills. The students work in groups while collaborating together to update content and improve the sites. Some of the students later go on to study media in college and work for design studios and other media-related fields.
